A tribute to a friend

On Sunday September 25, 2016 Arnold Palmer completed a truly extraordinary life. He was the dominant figure in the development of golf, the sport he loved for the competition, camaraderie, and values of the game. His success on the golf course transcended to the business world into a powerful brand and many successful enterprises. Arnold made his mark as a legend in golf and business on a grand stage but his true success came one personal interaction at a time from his genuine caring for others.

Arnold had a unique ability to connect to people instantly and deeply with a twinkle in his eye and a winning smile. In a huge crowd he was able to completely focus on the one person for which he was signing an autograph, or listening to their story, and have them walk away uplifted with a lasting memory. What a gift he had and gave away every day.

Arnold was an inspiration, a true American hero, demonstrating the best attributes, character and values built upon his respect for his father and his love for his family and country. He lived a life of giving back, to the game, fans, communities, and country he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of philanthropy and an extraordinary standard of citizenship that will continue to serve as an inspiration for years to come.

For the last twelve years Insperity had the honor and privilege to have Arnold Palmer as our company spokesperson. He connected to our mission to help businesses succeed so communities prosper with a deep desire to fuel the entrepreneurial spirit as an advocate for business owners and the free enterprise system. We were blessed by our association and relationship with Mr. Palmer. We miss him already.
